"Miss Matrix, what seems to be the trouble?" Cecil gave a concerned look as he saw Dot crying in the corner booth of her diner.

"Oh Cecil! I don't know what to do! Bob's been cheating on me the whole time with Hexadecimal! I feel like such a fool! What do I do now?" Dot gazed up at Cecil through her tears hoping for guidance and compassion.

"Bob? Cheat on you! Don't be silly! That fool of a guardian loves you too much to disrespect you like that!"

"But what if it's true, and he did it because I wasn't exciting or creative or wasn't satisfying enough like Hexadecimal must be! What if he doesn't ..."

"Dot." Cecil placed a hand on her shoulder. "Do you really think Bob would do that?"

"He is used to more excitement from the supercomputer and I ... I'm being silly. Of course you're right. Bob would never betray me. Right?"

"I guess it was all a misunderstanding. Mouse must have meant ... Mouse! She must have been trying to split us up so that Bob could be all hers! I should have known! I'm so basic!"

I told them it wasn't true, that Bob would never hurt you, and then they laughed at me and started saying all these mean things about how guardians are fickle! "Enzo! Calm down! Remember to breathe!" Enzo took a deep breath. "Now. Who started this rumor?"

"I don't know Dot."

"It must be Mouse!"

"Mouse? Why would she do that?"

"Long story. Enzo I want you to go back to school, and if anyone says that again, tell them the truth, and if they don't believe you, send them to the principal office, in the name of the Command.Com!"

"Dot --?" Enzo's voice fell on deaf ears, because Dot had already left the diner in search of Mouse.

"Ray? What are you doing here?"

"AndrAIa, I've come to say good-bye."

"Good-bye! Where are you going?"

"I'm leaving Mainframe. Maybe find some other system to hide out in."

"But why are you leaving? I thought you liked it here?"

"I do. And I like the people in Mainframe too." He looked directly into AndrAIa's eyes, causing her to give a nervous giggle.

"Then what's the problem?"

"It's Mouse. She's been dating Bob behind my back!"

"What! No way! Bob would never betray Dot like that!"

"It's true! From her lips to my ears!"

"So you're just going to leave! Pack up and run away from your problems? What about your friends?"

"I'd love to stay AndrAIa, but I don't think I could bear to live with the painful memories."

"Then we'll have to make more happy memories! You can't leave Surfr! What about Little Enzo? He's taken a real shine to you!"

Ray took that moment to lean over and kiss AndrAIa. But unknown to them, a fierce Matrix has just stepped into the hallway to view this act of betrayal.

"Ah Scuzzy! I just love the smell of chaos in the air!" Hex paused for a moment and gave a look around before continuing. "I have a feeling that things will become much, much more interesting now! Wahahahaha!" Hex fell into a spell of maniacal laughter until she fell off her chair.

"Hmm...something is not right. There are too many unexpected tears appearing for no apparent reason! I'm afraid this may be the start of many problems for our residents. I must get a hold of Bob. He's the guardian. He will know what to do. I hope." Phong continued to press buttons preparing to call Bob. Unknown to him, a pair of eyes were watching his every move from a dark corner behind him.
